Mares at Black Ridge Arabians

Our mares are the basis for our breeding program. Like the Bedouin, we value the tail-female lines of our mares. The lines of the famous mare Rodania, purchased in the desert by the Blunts and brought to England; the Abbas Pasha mare Sobha; and the Hamidie mare Nedjme are the root tail-female ancestors of our mares.

These lovely ladies have been so busy breeding that we have not photographed them extensively. Watch for photos here soon!

Enchanted Opal (*Silvern Magic X *Fire Opal by Dargee). Pure Crabbet 1985 liver chestnut 15.1 h mare, has been bred to pure Crabbet stallion *Seffer in 1997. This foal will be offered for sale. PR Silver Dream (*Silver Vanity X Landi). 15.1 h 1980 grey. Pure English GSB eligible. Bred to *Seffer in 1997. Foal may be offered for sale. Inquiries welcome. Dream is an incredibly beautiful and intelligent mare. Her foals are exceptional. SOLD Shadow Danseur (*Decade X Bianca Mia). 1991 grey mare, 14 h, trained hunter. Super calm disposition, pretty dapple grey with silver mane and tail. So Firey (Sai So X Fire's Fiera). 1989 grey 15.1 h mare, very showy, very beautiful. Incredibly smooth-bodied. Three crosses to *Kabara/*Count Dorsaz, Moniet El Nefous. Had incredible 1997 colt by Majnun Ibn Sobara. Foal has 4 crosses to *Kabara/*Count Dorsaz, and is offered for sale. Waiferme (HMR Mistanny X Shaanraah). Dam of 1982 US National Champion Futurity Mare, Oui, who was also 1983 Canadian National Champion Mare. Also dam of Call of Autumn, producer of US National Top Ten English Pleasure Caulfield; Classix Dream, dam of halter champions; and Region XII Bonanza Top Five Decadance.
