Majnun Ibn Sobara at Stud | Above: Half-Arab filly by Majnun Ibn Sobara. Left: Maj at home. |
We stand the young 1991 Crabbet/Egyptian stallion, Majnun Ibn Sobara by AK Khazar X Lady Sobara by Sotep out of AM Lady Guinevere. His first four foals were fillies! He has sired lovely daughters and two stallion-calibre colts, out of our *Silver Vanity daughter and a Crabbet/Egyptian English pleasure type mare. He passes on his elegance, beautifully balanced body, substantial hindquarters, good legs, pretty head and ears, and floating trot. Bred for dressage, he begins serious wrok in 1998. He was evaluated by a Grand Prix level dressage trainer who believes he has the ability for upper-level work.
If you like a good disposition, balance, a long stride, exceptional suspension, and comfort, he is the ideal stallion for your mare. More photos of Maj on the move demonstrate these qualities.
Check out his pedigree--it is full of close-up crosses to some of the greats in the breed. He is steel grey, 15.1 hands, with a small faint star and one white partial coronet. His sire is the halter and dressage champion and sire of champions, the black stallion AK Khazar, a maternal brother of U.S. Top Ten halter The Minstrel. His dam, Lady Sobara, is a rare granddaughter of *Kabara, AM Radames, *Raffles, and Zareyna. She is the dam of three champions in dressage, English pleasure, combined training, and hunter-over-fences.
His stud fee is $1000 satisfactory foal guarantee for purebred Arabian mares for 1997. For other breeds, $500 LFG. Discounts for Class A champion mares, daughters of National Top Tens, endurance, and multiple mares are offered.
Transported semen is available.
Mare care is $6 per day for stall board with daily turnout, or $8 with a foal at side. Some pasture board is available at $4.00 per day.
